About Me

Born and raised in Hong Kong, trained in the United Kingdom, I have lived between worlds for 12 years. That has enriched my understanding of human behaviour and cultural impacts on our mental health.

During my years at the NHS, I spent half a year in the crisis teams, where I worked with young people who had suicidal thoughts and attempts. At the Portman Clinic, I assessed adults who were navigating complex psychosexual issues. Through the Tavistock Depression Study, I learnt how depression manifests differently in different lives and which model works best for whom. Alongside the clinic at the Community Mental Health Services, I also delivered workshops on understanding depression to adults and multiple 10-week programmes on mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal communication skills to young people and families.

Since opening my private practice in 2021, I have worked with local and international clients facing relationship breakdowns, corporate pressure, existential crises, eating disorders, PTSD, antenatal anxiety, postnatal depression, and the overwhelming uncertainty that can come with becoming a parent.

In my practice, I draw from both Eastern and Western therapeutic traditions because that provides a fuller picture of who we really are and better insights into what suits you best. Therapy is about helping you make sense of yourself and bringing out the best of you.
